Today’s daily dose of emuna is dedicated to the refuah shleimah of Shalom Pincas Elisha ben Miriam Shaindel. May Hashem shower him with yeshuot and nechamot, a complete healing refuat hanefesh and refuat haguf among all of Klal Yisrael who are sick and suffering b’karov, b’rachamim, Amen.

The foundation of so many frustrations in life stems from our conscious and many times unconscious feeling that we know better; we can re-write our lives so that it flows with greater ease. Do we live our lives as an ‘employer’ (boss mentality) or ‘employee’ (worker mentality) in this world?  There is a world of a difference in the two.

Let’s be honest.  If we assume that we know better, life will be lived as a rebellious battle against Hashem.  And we won’t win!  We are partners in this world to repair it; we do not own it.  Consequently the only pathway to inner composure and calm is to involve our ‘Partner’ in our lives.  Let us change our perception of seeing Hashem as chas v’Shalom doing things to us and view them as happening for us (not as a punishment but as a warning call saving us from harm).

A fundamental Emuna teaching is that Hashem ‘talks’ to us through the circumstance and people in our lives.  If something is not going right, we must view it as a message from our ‘Partner’ telling us that we are not on track in our ‘business’ called life. What is the business of life? Staying on track towards our soul rectification which we cannot attain unless we get Hashem involved.

Every opportunity, person and experience is here to communicate how ‘well’ we are scoring and staying on track.  Hashem has tailor designed our lives to ‘train’ us and get us to work on repairing our lives.  We have more strength to cope with the hardships than we think.   Each incident carries us one step higher on the spiritual ladder.
