It is great to feel beautiful. Why don’t we always feel beautiful? How do we define beauty? Do we compare ourselves with others and forget what the true meaning of loveliness is?
We see ourselves as imperfect beings. We know we are in this world to work on ourselves and strive towards better. Nevertheless, great splendor lies at the core of each of us. We are a work in progress expanding, transforming and elevating ‘the outside’ to confirm with what really lies ‘on the inside.’ Magnificence lies inside every one of us.
Externals are a shell – a barrier which unfortunately disturbs our pathway to our beautiful, special, unique core. We are heavily influenced by the Western world’s description and perception of beauty. The way we commonly define beauty blocks our ability to see our uniqueness. The middot of kindness, compassion and transcendence are rarely considered synonymous with the term beauty.
We value ourselves based on external appearances, ignoring the famous saying, “You cannot judge a book by its cover!” This distortion crushes the loving, caring real ‘me’, the unique essence waiting to shine its countenance to the world. Failing to acknowledge our inner G-dly spark causes our essence to remain hidden. By continuing to spin on the whirlwind of life and glimpse solely at the surface. But every part of our exterior is merely a holder for our unique and great beautiful core treasure – the real me!
Goodness is beautiful. Recognize your goodness – your G-dliness – and see how beautiful you really are!
